Best “balanced” handheld gaming console
I have got the 1 tb model and installed a 1 tb sd card. So that makes it 2 tb.The thing to understand here is that the performance will not be the same as your Xbox X or PS 5 if you own any of these as the usecase for handheld consoles are not the same as Xbox or PS5. And after I have got the steam deck oled I use it more than my Xbox X , PS5 and NS Oled.On paper the specifications for other handheld consoles like Asus Rog Ally may look better but those will also bring the disadvantages of Windows.What I liked:AAA games with certain tweaks can run between 45 to 65 fps. Ofcourse with very low graphic settings you might reach more than that but then the games might not look appealing.Light games take advantage of the 90 hertz screen where they can run above 60 and go upto 90 fpsSteam Deck Oled will be useful for you when you want to play games when you are lying down on your bed or you are roaming around in the house or you are traveling somewhere and want the flexibility to play your games anywhere.Oled screen with HDR(wherever supported) pleases the eyes. The Oled screen is similar to my Nintendo Switch Oled.The etched glass is semi-matte. But it does not matter anymore as I have applied a glossy screen protector as I could not find a matte screen protector on amazon or on flipkart.Steam Deck Oled on the other hand brings the seamless experience and good battery life which is the major strength of Switch Oled and decent performance which is the strength of Rog Ally X.The Joysticks and buttons will almost give the feel of an Xbox controller.You can buy games at super cheap prices from Steam Store during sale such as Summer Sale.What I did not like:The price is too high as its not officially available in India and there is no warranty.Sellers are charging crazy premium.For long gaming sessions you need to provide support to your wrists and arms.Expect occassional crashes and hungs which can be fixed with a restart.No Matte Screen Protector available on Amazon India or Flipkart.

Steam deck OLED: The best handheld gaming device right now !
I recently purchased the steam deck OLED and itâs been an absolutely fantastic gaming experience on it. The colors look vibrant, the battery life is excellent ( I played Yakuza 0 for 4 hours straight on full charge and still had 50% battery left ) and the games run smoothly at 60 Hz. Despite competition from other handhelds in the market, Valvesâs steam deck remains the signature handheld gaming platform and the OLED model further enhances that experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into handheld gaming.
